Cara Wick has spent her career in technology and banking. Starting as a revenue analyst in the frenzied world of dot-com San Francisco, she later moved into banking; working as a commercial underwriter. After business school, Cara took on a role in corporate finance at Intel Corp before returning to banking as an analyst for Wells Fargo and then as Director of Marketing for One PacificCoast Bank in Oakland, California. Today, she is President of Wick Financial, a strategic marketing firm, and serves as a consulting partner at Washington D.C-based SP Consulting. Passionate about both history and finance, Cara writes a weekly blog, Banker’s Notes, that explores American political and economic history.
Cara has a diploma from the American Banker’s Association (ABA) Bank Marketing School of Management and is expected to graduate from the ABA’s Stonier Graduate School in Banking in June 2014. She holds a a Bachelor of Arts degree in political theory from Williams College and an Master of Business Administration degree in finance from the University of Iowa.
